The Steelers and Patriots, who have two of the best coaches in the NFL, meet in Week 2. Pittsburgh survived an overtime thriller against the Bengals, while the Patriots got dominated by the Dolphins.

These are two teams that need everything to go right for them to make the playoffs. BetSided has a game preview for this matchup, but let’s dive into specifics with the players on the field.

Here are three prop bets for Patriots-Steelers in Week 2.

Best Prop Bets For Patriots-Steelers Week 2

  • Rhamondre Stevenson Anytime TD Scorer
  • Diontae Johnson Anytime TD Scorer
  • Mitchell Trubisky OVER 221.5 Passing Yards

Rhamondre Stevenson Anytime TD Scorer

Ty Montgomery is now on the IR, which means that Stevenson should see more work in the passing game. More touches means more opportunities, which should translate to a touchdown. Stevenson had 10 total touches in Week 1. If Bill Belichick gives him more work, I like Stevenson’s odds to score more than Damien Harris – who is looked at as a pure runner.

Diontae Johnson Anytime TD Scorer

Johnson is the clear No. 1 receiver on the Steelers and won’t lack any opportunity to have the ball in his hands on Sunday. In Week 1, he had 12 targets – which was tied for the sixth-most. Trubisky is looking his way, giving him a higher upside than some of the other targets in Pittsburgh. The Patriots clearly had trouble with the Dolphins’ wide receivers, so I’m going to back the Steelers’ group of pass catchers to have a good day as well.

Mitchell Trubisky OVER 221.5 Passing Yards

Trubisky threw the ball 38 times in Week 1, but only completed 55.3% of his passes. That number should go up, as he completes 63.9% of his passes over his career. With Najee Harris a little banged up, Trubisky should have a little more of the offense on his plate in this one. Prior to Week 1, the last five times Trubisky threw over 30 times, he cleared this line. All he needs is the opportunity and he’ll be just fine.
