The New Orleans Pelicans are going to be in the NBA Play-In Game, but there's no need to slow down their momentum.

That's the plan when the Pelicans head to Sacramento to take on the Kings, who have now missed an NBA record 16 straight postseasons.

Will Sacramento put together a final effort in the last stretch or the season, or will New Orleans continue their path to locking up the No. 9 seed (they are one game up on San Antonio heading into Tuesday's action).

Here are the odds, from WynnBET Sportsbook:

Pelicans vs. Kings Odds, Spread and Total

Spread:

  • Pelicans: -8.5 (-110)
  • Kings: +8.5 (-110)

Moneyline:

  • Pelicans: -425
  • Kings: +325

Total: 225.5 (Over -105/Under -115)

Pelicans vs. Kings Prediction and Pick

When the Kings lose, they lose badly. Dating back to March 18th, when De'Aaron Fox began to miss time with a lingering issue that is likely going to end his season, the Pelicans have lost their four games by an average of 18.5 points.

New Orleans' is playing their best ball of the season down the stretch, ranking 8th in net rating since the beginning of March, per NBA.com. The team's acquisition of C.J. McCollum has paid dividends quickly and I expect we see a lopsided result that the Kings have over the past few weeks.

McCollum is averaging nearly 26 points on 50/40/70 shooting splits, he should have little issue taking advantage of the Kings defense that is focused on their offseason already.

LEAN: Pelicans -8.5
