The New Orleans Pelicans are still without star forward Zion Williamson and small forward Brandon Ingram is a game time decision with a hip issue, so the Pelicans will need a lot of help from their surrounding cast to take down the Golden State Warriors tonight.

The Pelicans are currently suffering through a five-game losing streak and sit dead-last in the Western Conference standings.

The Warriors defeated the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday, 114-92, and will go for their third straight win on Friday night.

Steph Curry was just 3-for-11 from three-point range in his last outing and will look to improve on that mark against a weak New Orleans defense.

Pelicans vs. Warriors Prediction and Pick

The Warriors are fifth in the NBA in points per game, averaging 111.3 points per contest, and the Pelicans are 25th in the NBA in points allowed per game, with 111.2. In the last three games, New Orleans has allowed 115.7 points per game, last in the NBA.

Golden State has also seen strong offensive performances from unlikely players, specifically shooting guard Jordan Poole, who scored 31 points in Wednesday’s game against the Hornets. Poole is averaging 16.4 points per game and his emergence will give the Warriors strong depth upon the return of Klay Thompson.

As long as the Pelicans take the court without Zion Williamson, they are half the team they can be. If Ingram doesn’t play either, then they’re a quarter of the team they can be.

A struggling New Orleans team that is depleted by injury is too tough to consider backing against Golden State.

The Warriors should be able to cover the spread, and I’ll jump on it before it moves into double digits.

Pick: Warriors -9.5
