Penn State came up short in their upset bid against Ohio State last week, will they have a letdown this week against lowly Indiana on the road?

The Nittany Lions have beaten every unranked foe in their way, and now face an Indiana team that has been out of sorts all year, losers of five straight. What can we expect from the Nittany Lions after having their outside chance of a Big Ten Championship appearance dashed at home.

Here are the odds for Saturday's Week 10 Big Ten meeting:

Penn State vs. Indiana Odds, Spread and Total

Penn State vs. Indiana Betting Trends

  • Penn State is 5-3 against the spread (ATS) this season, 4-2 as a favorite
  • Indiana is 3-5 ATS this season, but 3-2 at home
  • Penn State has gone OVER in six of eight games this season

Penn State vs. Indiana Prediction and Pick

There's a chance that the transition at quarterback is coming for Penn State amidst Sean Clifford's ineffective play. James Franklin has answered questions about top recruit Drew Allar potentially seeing the field more during the later stages of the season. The coach has denied any change at quarterback, but given the last few weeks of play and Clifford's nagging injuries, there's a chance we see Allar at some point -- whether the Nittany Lions are winning or losing.

More Allar can help the PSU offense, but the Indiana offense should find some success against a porous Penn State rush defense. The Nittany Lions are 78th in rush yards allowed per carry and bottom half of the country in terms of explosive rush D. Can Shaun Shivers and the IU ground game get going? I think so.

Not to mention, the Hoosiers play at a frenetic pace, the second most plays per minute in the country, one of six teams that run more than three per minute this season. There will be plenty of plays and plenty of chances for Clifford (or Allar) to get Penn State in the end zone, IU is 95th in yards per pass attempt allowed.

I like the over at below the key number of 51.
