Penn State vs. Maryland Prediction and Odds (Bet on Nittany Lions to Continue Strong Play)
By Joe Summers
Maryland snapped a five-game losing streak with a win over Nebraska their last time out and hope to win their second straight when they host Penn State today at 7:00 PM EST.
The Nittany Lions have covered the spread in five of their last six and have won two straight. Can they continue their late-season surge or has Maryland righted the ship after two weeks of poor play?
Here are the odds via WynnBET:

Penn State vs. Maryland Prediction and Pick
These are two teams headed in opposite directions and I love the value we're getting on the Nittany Lions today. Penn State has covered the spread in four of their last five games as an underdog and is 9-5 against the spread (ATS) as an underdog on the season.
Their strength lies with their interior defense, as they rank 18th nationally in defensive 2-point shooting percentage. So the Terrapins will need to shoot well from beyond the arc to score. That's bad news for a Maryland offense that's just 245th in 3-point shooting and has just the 203rd-highest offensive rebounding rate.
The Terrapins are a woeful 2-8 ATS as a home favorite this season and I think their struggles continue in a game Penn State wins outright.
Not only has fading Maryland been a strong bet recently, but the under has given bettors a ton of value as well. The under is 7-3 in the Terrapins' last ten games as a home favorite, and it's also 7-3 in Penn State's last ten games overall. With two teams that don't shoot particularly well or generate second-chance points with offensive rebounds, I like this game to stay until the total as well.
Pick: Penn State +120 and UNDER 129 (-110)
