It's PGA Championship week! The second major of the 2022 season kicks off tomorrow and our team at BetSided has you loaded with coverage.

With a loaded field and a huge variety of betting options over at WynnBET, there's no shortage of options for your wagers.

But there's no more exciting feat in golf than a hole-in-one. You hear the crowd go crazy and the typically stoic norms of the PGA Tour are cast aside in favor of euphoric triumph.

Will we get an opportunity to see the jubilation and glee that follows one of the rarest feats in the sport? Using the consensus odds, let's determine if there will be a hole-in-one at the PGA Championship at Southern Hills.

PGA Championship Hole-in-One Prop

  • Yes: +100
  • No: -120

Reports from the course throughout the week are that the slope of the greens are challenging. It seems the course was intentionally designed to be difficult this week and prevent a potential birdie-fest at a major.

With that in mind, it's going to be difficult for someone to secure an ace. But these are the best players in the world for a reason, and a few holes still present an opportunity for an incredible moment.

No. 6, No. 8, No. 11, and No. 14 are all Par-3's, so an ace would almost certainly come from one of those holes if one is going to happen. There have been four hole-in-ones at Southern Hills in it's major championship history, and Collin Morikawa drained one at No. 6 in a practice round this week.

The wind is expected to be a major factor, which will make shot-shaping all the more difficult. As much as I'd like to see an ace on the biggest stage in golf, there are too many factors conspiring against it for me to trust at almost even money.

I'll stick with no, but am certainly rooting for an ace. And if a hole-in-one came from my favorite athlete in the world, Collin Morikawa? You betcha I'll be hooting and hollering in my living room alongside all the screaming fans.

Pick: No (-120)
