Two high powered offenses continue their 4 game series on Wednesday night.

The Atlanta Braves walked it off in a thriller on Tuesday and now will look to continue jockeying for position in the NL East as one team looks to make a run at the New York Mets.

Can the Braves follow it up with a victory on Wednesday with veteran Charlie Morton on the mound, or will Phillies left-hander Ranger Suarez give the club the upper hand? Let's check out the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook:

Phillies vs. Braves Odds, Run Line, Total

Run Line:

  • Phillies: +1.5 (-140)
  • Braves: -1.5 (+115)

Moneyline:

  • Phillies: +128
  • Braves: -138

Total: 8.5 (Over -110/Under -110)

Phillies vs. Braves Prediction and Pick

The Braves should be in line to knock around Suarez on Wednesday. While the team may not be hitting all that well, they are explosive against lefties. Atlanta is 14th in batting average, right in the middle of the pack, but their OPS shoots them up to 9th in baseball against southpaws. This indicates that Atlanta is doe for runs at a hitter friendly SunTrust Park.

On the other side, Morton is starting to look his age. The 38-year-old is walking the most batters since his rookie season and has an ERA sitting north of 4.00. He has a dwindling strikeout rate, and his WHIP sits at 1.450, meaning that hitters are starting to find contact against the once filthy curveball.

I don't trust either pitcher against these lineups and think we can see another high scoring affair like Tuesday night's thriller. Each meeting has had double digit runs this series and I think we get a third on Wednesday.
