The 25-29 Philadelphia Phillies bring a four-game winning streak into Milwaukee as they take on the 33-23 Brewers at 8:10 p.m. EST tonight.

Milwaukee is slumping, losing five of its last six games, including three straight. The Brewers will turn to rookie Jason Alexander in his second career start to snap their skid. Alexander was excellent in his debut, allowing only two runs in seven innings against the Cubs.

Ranger Suarez gets the call for Philadelphia after compiling a 4.85 ERA in May. He's really struggled with command recently, evidenced by walking seven batters over his last eight innings.

Can Suarez regain his control to keep Philadelphia's winning streak alive or will Alexander earn his first major league win?

Phillies vs Brewers Prediction and Pick

Milwaukee's lineup has had better weeks. The Padres' pitching staff overwhelmed the Brewers, shutting them out twice over their last three games. As a result, Milwaukee now holds just a half-game lead over the Cardinals the NL Central.

A matchup against Ranger Suarez may just be what the doctor ordered, though. The Phillies have lost three straight starts by Suarez as his command seems to have abandoned him. He's walked seven batters in his last eight innings, and a Brewers lineup that ranks among the league leaders in walks per game should take advantage.

Despite making only his second career start, Jason Alexander is the better starting pitcher here. He was really impressive in the minors this season, amassing a 2.60 ERA in May while not allowing more than three runs in a single outing.

Philadelphia is enjoying a nice stretch after firing manager Joe Girardi, but this is a great time to sell high on them and buy low on Milwaukee. The Phillies are 1-5 in their last six on the road while the Brewers were 13-4 in their last 17 as a home favorite prior to the Padres series.

Alexander should earn his first win today as Suarez's issues continue and Milwaukee takes advantage.

Pick: Brewers (-110)
