Pirates vs. Angels Prediction and Odds for Saturday, July 22 (Los Angeles Will Win Big)
Saturday's MLB slate will wrap up with an interleague matchup between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Los Angeles Angels.
The Angels got the better of the Buccos on Friday, beating them by a final score of 8-5. Five runs against Shohei Ohtani wasn't enough to lift the Pirates to victory.
Can they get it done against Reid Detmers tonight? I'm not so sure.
Let's find out what the oddsmakers think.

Pirates vs. Angels prediction and pick
It's a battle of lefties tonight when Ryan Borucki (4.63 ERA) will take on Reid Detmers (4.42 ERA).
That could spell bad news for the Pirates. The Angels have an immaculate .884 OPS against left-handed pitchers over the last 30 days. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh is just 28th in that stat over the same span of time with an OPS of .591.
We're also due for some positive regression from Reid Detmers tonight. His 4.42 ERA may not be anything to write home about, but his 3.72 FIP (Field Independent Pitching) tells us it hasn't been totally his fault. Usually we see these two statistics even out as the season progresses, so if that's the case then I expect a strong start from him tonight.
You can take the Angels moneyline if you want, but I'm going to get aggressive and back their -1.5 run line at +105. I think they can win by two or more runs with ease.
