UPDATE: Dejounte Murray is out for the San Antonio Spurs after entering the league's health and safety protocols.

It’s hard to imagine things getting worse for the 5-26 Detroit Pistons, but with several members in the league’s health and safety protocols, the Pistons are in for a tough game with the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday.
Cade Cunningham, Isaiah, Stewart, Killian Hayes, Saben Lee, Josh Jackson, Trey Lyles and Cory Joseph are just a few of the players out for this game, and leading scorer Jerami Grant is already out with a thumb injury.
Here are the odds for a short-handed Pistons squad via WynnBET:
Pistons vs. Spurs Odds, Spread and Total
Spread:
- Pistons +11.5 (-110)
- Spurs -11.5 (-110)
Moneyline:
- Pistons: +475
- Spurs: -650
Total:
- 220 (Over -110/Under -110)
Pistons vs. Spurs Prediction and Pick
Despite missing four starters on Dec. 23, the Pistons were able to hang with the Miami Heat, losing by just three. However, Lyles, Jackson and Joseph have all been placed in the league’s protocols since then, which makes Detroit even easier to fade on Sunday.
The Pistons (22nd in defensive rating) will face a Spurs team that is 10th in offensive rating and should have a full complement of players available in this game.
San Antonio (13-18 SU on the season), is 18-13 against the spread this year and has won back-to-back blowouts over the Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers.
I think this is a spot to fade a Pistons team with even less talent than normal.
Pick: Spurs -11.5 (-110)
