The Minnesota Timberwolves have won three straight and look for their sixth consecutive win at home this afternoon when they host the Detroit Pistons at the Target Center.

Detroit is in search of their last road win since Jan. 19 when they upset the Sacramento Kings 133-131.

Here are the latest odds for this afternoon's tip over at WynnBET Sportsbook:

Pistons vs. Timberwolves Prediction and Pick

The Timberwolves continue to climb the standings in the Western Conference, now sitting in the No. 7 spot at 27-25.

Even though the 12-point spread is a fair one from the oddsmakers, I prefer to take the points and back the over. Both teams went for 245 total points the last time they met as the Timberwolves walked away with a 128-117 victory.

Minnesota has been the second-best OVER team in the league this season, hitting just under 60% of the time at 31-21-0. They've also hit the over in their past five games, becoming a higher paced team in the process. They're averaging 124.6 PPG over their past five games while also allowing 119.2. Both numbers are way above their season averages. The T-Wolves at home average 108.2 points per game while only allowing 105.8.

So what's changed?

The Timberwolves have moved all the way up to third in the league in pace, while their defensive rating has fallen out of the top 10 where they've spent a good portion of the season. Teams like the Pistons, who rank 24th in defensive efficiency out of 30 teams will already have a difficult time keeping up. They could try to shift to become a slower, more efficient offense, but Detroit's pace ranks 11th in the league.

Point being? We'll see points from both sides in this matchup. Just much more from the Timberwolves side.

LEAN: OVER 230 (-110)
