Pittsburgh vs. Georgia Tech Prediction, Odds and Spread for College Football Week 5
By Thomas Snodgrass
The Pittsburgh Panthers lost a stunner to Western Michigan on Sept. 18th, 44-41, but rebounded last week against New Hampshire by collecting 707 yards of total offense and winning 77-7. In the first four games of the season, Pittsburgh quarterback Kenny Pickett has completed 74.2 percent of his passes for 1,342 yards and 15 touchdowns to only one interception.
After a narrow 14-8 loss to Clemson on Sept. 18th, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets rebounded last week as well, picking up a big 45-22 victory over the No. 21 North Carolina Tar Heels. The Georgia Tech defense would win the turnover battle, three turnovers to zero, as the Tar Heels would lose three fumbles.
Can Pittsburgh hold onto the football better than North Carolina did and escape Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta with a win?

Pittsburgh vs. Georgia Tech Prediction
Many great running backs have come through Pittsburgh, Tony Dorsett, Curtis Martin, LeSean McCoy, and James Conner just to name a few, but they currently have the sixth-best passing offense, averaging 386.5 passing yards per game.
Pickett has run this Panthers offense efficiently, and Pitt is averaging 52.5 points per game, fourth-best in the country.
The Yellow Jackets defense benefited from the fumbles by UNC last week, but Sam Howell still managed to throw for 306 yards and two touchdowns. I don’t see Pittsburgh having the same turnover troubles this week, so things shouldn’t be as fortunate for Georgia Tech in Week 5.
I like the Panthers at -160 on the moneyline and I think Pickett can lead Pittsburgh to enough scores that this one will hit the over 58.5.
