The Nashville Predators may be coming off an ugly 6-1 loss to the Kings on Tuesday, but they are still 7-3 straight up in their last 10 games overall. Tonight the Preds hit the road to Sin City to take on the Vegas Golden Knights as slight road favorites.

The Golden Knights, on the other hand, have been shut out in back-to-back games and are struggling to keep pace in the Pacific Division. They currently sit in fourth place behind. Three points behind the Edmonton Oilers and six from the LA Kings. But with every loss, their chances of clawing their way into the payoffs lessen.

Here are the odds for tonight’s matchup, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Predators vs. Golden Knights Prediction and Pick

Pick: Under 6 -120

The Knight has one thing going against them right now that could crumble their entire season moving forward. Mounting pressure. With their most recent loss to the Winnipeg Jets, the Golden Knights are officially on the outside looking in of the playoff race. They are one point behind the Dallas Stars for the second Wild Card spot in the Western Conference. The Predators are six-point ahead and have a firm handle on the first spot.

Desperation is not a great motivator, but the Golden Knights have to work with what they have. Meanwhile, the Predators have a lot of wiggle room and have a seven-point buffer between them in the playoffs and them out of it.

Despite being the home team, I am a little surprised the Golden Knights are such small underdogs. Vegas’ goaltending has been dreadful and the Knights have allowed more than 29 goals against them in the last seven games.  They haven’t been playing well for a while and the Predators are, in contrast, playing very good hockey right now. Let's not overlook Roman Josi's ridiculous stretch of 10 games where he's scored 24 points.

The road team is the clear choice here.
