Predators vs. Kings Prediction and Odds (Nashville Refusing to Regress)
By Matt De Saro
Two Western Conference rivals in the Nashville Predators and Los Angeles Kings clash tonight in the City of Angels. The Predators are one of the hotter teams in the league right now and are coming off a 6-3 win against Anaheim last night. Nashville is now 7-2 straight up in its last nine games and currently sits in second place in the Central Division.
The Kings also rank second in their division but have been on a bit of a slide lately. LA is 2-4 straight up in its last six games. The Kings are also 0-2 against the Predators so far this year and Nashville would love to complete a season sweep tonight.

Predators vs. Kings Prediction and Pick
The Predators are on the second half of a back-to-back on the road, but they are also on a two-game win streak. They have been playing great hockey over the last couple of weeks and look like one of the more dangerous teams in the West at the moment. The Predators' offense deserves the lion’s share of the credit for this recent spike in wins. Nashville has scored at least four goals in seven of its last eight games and at least six in its last two.
While the Kings haven’t seen the recent success they had been hoping for, they are still one of the best teams in the league from a statistical standpoint. But stats don’t count as wins and L.A. needs to start putting some points on the board. And while there is a lot pointing towards a Predators regression, it hasn’t happened yet.
Sometimes teams just find a way to win despite less than desirable metrics. The Predators struggle in 5-on-5 and have an expected goals-for rating under 50 percent in their last four games. Yet, they keep winning. And until that stops, I won’t stop betting on Nashville.
Lean: Predators +100 to win
