The Nashville Predators are 6-3-1 in their last 10 games, and now have a chance to add to another win to the tally when they travel Northwest to take on the last placed team in the Pacific Division, the Seattle Kraken.

The Kraken have struggled in their inaugural season, especially when it comes to goaltending, and now have a big hill to climb if they want to crawl out of the basement of the Western Conference. Good news is that they're coming off a win, defeating arguably the best team in the NHL, the Florida Panthers, in their last game out.

Let's take a look at the odds via WynnBET for this Western Conference showdown.

Predators vs. Kraken Prediction and Pick

I have officially sworn off betting on the Kraken for the rest of the NHL season, so I'm going to look at the total instead.

The Predators, who were one of the top defensive teams in the NHL for the first few months, rank 21st in high danger scoring chances against in their last 10 games. To be fair, the Kraken rank sixth, but their goaltending has turned all defensive play moot. They're dead last in the league in save percentage, and they're 27th in goals against per 60 minutes, allowing an average of 3.67.

With the total set at the low mark of 5.5, I'd lean towards the OVER in this one.

Lean: OVER 5.5 (-120)
