Predators vs. Oilers Prediction and Odds: Don't Buy Into Back-To-Back Narrative
The Nashville Predators will play the second half of an Alberta back-to-back tonight when they head to Edmonton to take on the Oilers. They took down the Calgary Flames in overtime last night, beating them by a final score 3-2.
The Preds will carry a four-game win streak into tonight’s game. Meanwhile, the Oilers sit atop the Pacific Division with a 7-1 record. They’re riding a two-game win streak, taking down the Canucks on Saturday night and then followed it up with a 5-2 win over the Kraken on Monday.

Predators vs. Oilers Prediction and Pick
Don’t be fooled by the Oilers early record, they’re still the same old Edmonton team that is terrible in its own end. The Oilers are allowing 11.51 high danger scoring chances per 60 minutes, while Nashville only allows nine.
Be careful, as well, to not buy into the narrative that you should fade the Predators just because they’re on the second half of a back-to-back. That factor is already baked into the odds, and history shows that it’s not a good indicator of success or failure. These are professional athletes, not out-of-shape bums like me. They’re capable of playing two nights in a row.
With all that being said, I’m going to back the Predators on the +1.5 puck line at -130. I’m not bold enough to say that they’ll win out right, but I think there’s a fantastic chance that this game is a close one. If it goes to overtime, like last night’s Predators game did, then you can cash this bet as a winner.
Pick: Predators +1.5 (-130)
