Two of the hottest teams in the NHL clash tonight at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ontario when the Nashville Predators face off against the Senators. The Predators are coming off a strong 6-2 win over the Minnesota Wild and are now 3-1 in their last four. One of the wins was a 4-1 victory over these same Ottawa Senators last Tuesday 4-1. Despite this, the odds are pretty tight for this rematch.

The Senators shrugged off that loss and have won three games in a row, including back-to-back wins over the Detroit Red Wings. They beat up on the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday and now have scored 16 goals combined in their last three games.

Here are the odds for tonight’s matchup, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Predators vs. Senators Prediction and Pick

The Senators are rolling after their last loss to the Predators and look to pull off a small upset on their home ice tonight for a bit of revenge. This will not be an easy task as the Predators are fighting hard to hold on to the seventh spot in the Western Conference. While the Senators have been eliminated from the playoffs already, the Predators are deep in the mix. But, they are one point ahead of the Dallas Stars and two points ahead of the Vegas Golden Knights. A slip-up tonight could send them tumbling down the ladder in short order. While the Preds are still going to make the playoffs with a loss here, their seeding won’t be as favorable.

The good news for the Predators is that their offense is kicking ass and averaging 3.30 goals per game this year. The fact is that the Predators are the far better team tonight, as indicated by their 4-1 win over the Senators last week. The Senators might be back home tonight but I expect a similar outcome to last week’s near-shutout.

Pick: Predators -1.5 (+145)
