The No. 2 Purdue Boilermakers have already announced themselves as National Championship contenders and now play host to Florida State in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

The Seminoles struggled in their lone marquee matchup to date, losing at Florida by 16, but Leonard Hamilton's team is inside KenPom's top 30 so advanced metrics still look favorably for them. Can they get on track on Tuesday night?

Here are the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook.

Florida State vs. Purdue Odds, Spread and Total

Spread:

  • Florida State +11 (-110)
  • Purdue -11 (-110)

Moneyline:

  • Florida State +440
  • Purdue -610

Total: 142 (Over -110/Under -110)

Florida State vs. Purdue Prediction and Pick

The first bit of news, and problematic for the Noles, is that their lead guard RayQuan Evans will be out for this game. Against the No. 2 offense in the country in Purdue, Florida State is going to have to score at a high rate to keep up.

I struggle to see them doing so considering they are turning the ball over at a bottom 100 rate with their best ball handler and are terrible at limiting offensive rebounds. FSU is 286th in opponent's offensive rebounding percentage and is matched up with 7'4" Zach Edey and the Boilermakers top 5 offensive rebounding unit.

However, Hamilton has several shooters that should be able to get a few to fall in Malik Osborne and Anthony Polite, but I struggle to see them staying within the spread. Purdue's offense is too dynamic with Jaden Ivey looking like a lottery pick at guard and the size down low with Edey and Trevion Williams.

The total has trickled down from open, down to 142 from 144.5, but I'm not bothered, I lean towards the over as Purdue is set to crack 80 points for the seventh straight game to start the year but FSU hitting a handful of three's to get their fair share of points. The Boilermakers are allowing the 11th highest three-point rate this season.

PICK: OVER 142
