QBE Shootout Odds and Prediction
There are no more official PGA Tour money events left on the 2021 calendar, but there's still an unofficial tournament that's set to take place this week: The QBE Shootout.
It's a 3-day, 54-hole team event in which partners will compete for a $3,500,000 purse. With it being an unofficial event, it usually has a more laid back vibe, which is a nice change of pace from what we normally see on Tour.
Harris English and Matt Kuchar won the event for the third time as partners in 2020, running away with a 9-stroke victory over Rory Sabbatini and Kevin Tawy.
Here are the odds to win the event via WynnBET Sportsbook.

QBE Shootout Format
Being that the QBE Shootout is a team event, the format is different from most tournaments. It will span across three days, with each round having a different ruleset.
The first round will be a scramble, which means both golfers will hit their shot and then take their next shot from wherever the better of the first two shots landed. The procedure is repeated until the hole is finished.
The second round is greensomes or modified alternate shot. Both golfers will hit a tee-shot, and they will use the better of the two. After that, it is alternate shot until the ball is in the hole.
The final round is better ball or best ball. Both golfers will play their own ball for every hole, and the better of the two scores will be counted towards the teams score.
QBE Shootout Best Bet
Jason Kokrak/Kevin Na +550
Jason Kokrak and Kevin Na seem like the ideal duo. Kokrak is a ball striker who will give them consistent chances at birdies, while Na is a short game specialist who will be able to drain birdie putts from anywhere on the green.
This will be the first time that the two will be partnered in this event, but Kevin Na finished T2 last year with Sean O'Hair. Kokrak is a significant upgrade in partner compared to O'Hair, so I love the value at +550 (bet $100 to profit $550).
