Raiders vs. Cowboys Updated Odds and Prediction (What Bettors Need to Know)
A banged-up Cowboys team takes on a fading Raiders squad in the NFL's afternoon Thanksgiving game. These are two teams headed in opposite directions, with the Cowboys among the favorites to win the NFC this year and the Raiders still reeling from two terrible off-field disasters that have derailed the early momentum they built.
Regardless, Thanksgiving games always create a little bit of drama. For those of us that bet on the games, it's even more tense. Below are picks from me and BetSided managing editor Ben Heisler as well as updated odds for the game.

Raiders vs. Cowboys Prediction and Pick
I'm expecting a run-heavy attack from the Cowboys this week, but I actually like Tony Pollard to be their primary back. Ezekiel Elliott has been battling a knee injury all year and just tweaked it. On a short week against a team the Cowboys should beat without him, expect Pollard to be the featured back. Here's why I'm picking him to score a TD with +125 at WynnBET.
Ezekiel Elliott tweaked a nagging knee injury on Sunday against the Chiefs. With such a short turnaround for Thanksgiving, I'm expecting a heavy dose of Tony Pollard in this game. Throw in the Raiders porous run defense (29th in yards allowed per game, 12 TDs allowed to RB overall) and this seems like easy money. Of course, there's no such thing as easy money in betting, but this is a get-right game for the Cowboys and they're gonna try and get everyone in the end zone if they can.
Here's what BetSided managing editor Ben Heisler had to write about his pick, which was Cowboys -7 at the time he made the pick. It lines up with my thinking about the run-heavy attack.
Even if the Raiders offense wakes up with Derek Carr at the helm, they've still been outscored 96-43 since the bye. The Cowboys will all their playmakers through the air and the ground face a Vegas defense that's fallen all the way back to 25th in the NFL in points allowed, and are bottom 4 in run defense. Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard should eat, making the absence of Cooper and perhaps Lamb somewhat insignificant. I'll buy on the public play and eat Turkey with the common people, but get in early before this one moves up. LEAN: COWBOYS -7
Make you're picks as you see fit, but these are the two picks we're riding with this week.
