After trailing 7-3 at halftime, the Los Angeles Rams would defeat their NFC West rival Seattle Seahawks 26-17. The Rams benefitted from Seahawks’ quarterback Russell Wilson leaving the game early in the second half with a finger injury, but Geno Smith filled in admirably for the departed Wilson.

Rams’ quarterback Matthew Stafford threw for 365 yards and a touchdown, with wide receiver Robert Woods catching 12 passes for 150 receiving yards to lead the Los Angeles offense. Running back Darrell Henderson also had a nice game on the ground, picking up 82 rushing yards and a touchdown.

In Week 5, quarterback Daniel Jones wobbled off the field and running back Saquon Barkley limped off, as the New York Giants have crawled to a 1-4 start after their 44-20 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Things aren’t looking great for the G-Men in 2021.

There may not be too much to be excited about in Week 6 if Mike Glennon and Devontae Booker are starting in the backfield against the Rams.

Rams vs. Giants Betting Trends

  • The Rams are 3-2 against the spread this season.

  • The Over is 4-1 in Los Angeles’ last five games.
  • Under is 5-0 in New York’s last five games as a home underdog.

Rams vs. Giants Prediction

New York is all banged up right now, Barkley is already listed as doubtful, Jones is questionable, two receivers in Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton just missed last week, now Kadarius Toney is questionable with a leg issue. There’s just too many injury problems in the Giants’ locker room right now.

The 4-1 Rams should be able to handle a depleted New York team that was already subpar before the injury bug arrived.

I’m taking the Rams at -10.5 on the spread. I wouldn’t be surprised if this spread gets closer to two touchdowns at game time.
