The Los Angeles Rams travel to Seattle for a Thursday Night Football showdown against the Seattle Seahawks.

The Rams lost for the first time this season last week against the Arizona Cardinals while the Seahawks rallied from a slow start to beat the San Francisco 49ers.

The NFC West is the most difficult division in the league, and each of these games are paramount for postseason positioning, so expect a high level game.

Seahawks vs. Rams Prediction and Pick

I made this game Rams -1.5, but I do think my number is underselling the situation setting up for the Rams to get a bounce back win.

I’m not going to overreact to Week 4 results, a tough spot for the Rams to get up for against the Cardinals after beating the reigning Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

I expect the defensive line to have much more success in Week 5 facing one of the most underwhelming offensive lines in the league. Entering last week, Arizona was top 10 in offensive adjusted sack rate, while the Seahawks entered 25th. In Week 4, Russell Wilson was sacked three times.

While LA lost 37-20, they outgained the Cardinals slightly on a yards per play basis, but lost the turnover margin by two. In a game with two explosive offenses, that’s a killer.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks struggled to move the ball for much of the first half before tying it in the final minutes. In the second half, the 49ers were forced to go to rookie quarterback Trey Lance due to a Jimmy Garoppolo injury, and the Niners fumbled a kickoff.

The Seahawks may have won, but only had 234 total yards of offense. It was far from an inspiring win and the likes of Aaron Donald should feast on a poor offensive line.

Seattle’s secondary has been suspect all year, bottom third of the league in defensive pass success rate, so expect another strong game from Matthew Stafford and the Rams passing game, who is top five success rate in the passing game.

Pick: Rams -1, play to -1.5
