After a tumultuous offseason, we've finally got baseball! It's Opening Day in Toronto as the Blue Jays host the Texas Rangers to get the season underway.

Jose Berrios takes the mound for Toronto and is coming off an impressive campaign in which he threw 192 innings with a 3.52 ERA and 204 strikeouts.

He'll be opposed by Jon Gray, newly acquired from Colorado, who accumulated a 4.59 ERA over 149 innings last year.

BetSided's Iain MacMillan is all over the Blue Jays this year - will they begin their march to 162-0 or will the Rangers play spoiler on opening day?

Let's check out the odds from WynnBET to help find a winner in this Rangers vs Blue Jays matchup:

Rangers vs Blue Jays Prediction and Pick

Expectations are sky-high for the Blue Jays. They opened as favorites to win the AL East and oddsmakers are expecting a step forward for the club led by young phenom Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Vlad would have captured MVP last year if not for one of the greatest individual seasons in MLB history from Shohei Ohtani, and is hungry to get off to a hot start.

Jon Gray had a solid season last year but is out of his depth here. He was dreadful on the road, going 3-7 with a 5.22 ERA. Now he gets to take on one of the best lineups in baseball. Best of luck, good sir.

I'll admit Toronto has struggled on opening day of late, losing 10 straight. But this team has legitimate World Series expectations and I think their offense makes a statement.

Berrios was tremendous last year and should continue his strong form. He didn't allow a hit in his first start last season and is capable of shutting down an improved Rangers lineup.

I'll be betting Toronto early and often - their lineup is too strong and exciting to avoid it. Plus, they've come some of the cleanest jerseys in the game and who doesn't want to root for the squad in the crisp baby blues? Give me the Blue Jays on the run line to earn a dominant first victory.

Pick: Blue Jays -1.5 (+110)
