Rangers vs. Devils Prediction and Odds (Rangers Set to Win Ninth Straight Over Devils)
By Joe Summers
Fresh off a 2-0 shutout victory over the Hurricanes, the 40-18-5 New York Rangers now turn their attention to the 22-35-5 New Jersey Devils tonight at 7:00 PM EST.
The Rangers have won two in a row and four of five while the Devils have lost three straight, all by a score of 3-6.
New York has rattled off three straight wins over the Devils this season by a combined score of 13-6.
Can the home squad get some revenge and avoid a season-sweep, or will the Rangers stay hot and win their third straight?

Rangers vs Devils Prediction and Pick
The Rangers are rolling on all cylinders as we approach the NHL postseason. Igor Shesterkin is the best goalie in the sport and New York is coming off back-to-back upset wins over the Hurricanes and Lightning, two Stanley Cup Contenders. They've only given up a combined three goals over their last three games, though their offense only scored five combined goals in that stretch.
New Jersey is just ready for the year to be over. They've given up 18 goals combined over their last three matches and have lost eight in a row to the Rangers.
Advanced stats don't look upon New York favorably, but having the best goalie in the world tends to alleviate some of those problems and the Rangers find ways to win games they're supposed to. They're 15-5 in their last 20 as a favorite behind elite goal prevention, which has helped the under also go 15-5 in those games. The Devils are just 2-5 in their last seven as a home underdog and I don't think they'll be able to slow down a confident Rangers club.
New York has been even more impressive as a road favorite than at home, going 12-2 in their last 14. I'll stick with the hotter team with eyes on a Stanley Cup and side with the Rangers, but I'm also taking the under.
If the Rangers are a favorite and the total is set at six goals or higher, I'm pretty much always going to take the under. It's 5-1 in New York's last six as a road favorite and I think that trend continues tonight. Give me the Rangers in a low-scoring contest.
Pick: Rangers -155 and Under 6 (-115)
