Remember when the Rangers were up 2-0 in this series and leading 2-0 in Game 3?

Joke aside, this series has flipped faster than Simone Biles at the Olympics, with the Lightning outscoring the Rangers 10-2 since the aforementioned moment and taking a 3-2 lead in this series. Now they get a home game with a chance to close it out and advance to the Stanley Cup Finals with a chance to win their third straight cup.

There are a lot of statistics that point to the Lightning closing out this series at home and we'll get to them in a second. But first I have to provide some hope for the Rangers fans out there.

So far this postseason, New York is 5-0 when facing elimination. They have also trailed 3-2 in every series thus far. Obviously they went on to win their previous series. I just don't see it happening this time with how dominant the Lightning are at home (sorry to build you up Rangers fans only to knock you down, but hey, we're trying to win money here!).

Tampa Bay has beaten New York five times in seven home games this season and has only lost one game at home in the playoffs all postseason -- it's currently on a six-game home winning streak. The Lightning have outscored the Rangers 7-3 at home in this series and lost eight games in regulation at home all year all year. Lightning goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy has conceded only 4 goals in his last four home games while Rangers goalie Igor Shesterkin saves only 90.4% of shots faced on the road vs. 94.6% at home.

There might not be snow in Florida, but the Tampa Bay is tough to beat at home.

Throw in how much better Tampa Bay has been in the 5 on 5 situations (it's created 67 high-danger scoring chances to the Rangers' 37) and it's pretty clear who the better team is. Anything can happen in the playoffs, but I'm going to side with the more experienced team that dominates at home to win big.
