Rangers vs. Orioles Prediction and Odds for Monday, July 4 (Orioles With Advantages Everywhere)
By Joe Summers
The Texas Rangers open up a series in Baltimore with the Orioles today at 1:05 p.m. EST after a strong few weeks of play.
Dane Dunning starts for Texas, bringing a 1-6 record and 4.09 ERA into the contest. He's thrown a quality start in three of his last four outings, though his 5.58 road ERA is cause for concern.
Baltimore turns to Dean Kremer in the midst of a heater. The 26-year-old righty hasn't allowed a run in his last 18.2 innings and sports a sensational 1.29 ERA in five starts.
Can Kremer stay hot or will the Texas lineup give Dunning his first road win of the season?

Rangers vs Orioles Prediction and Pick
The Orioles may have something with Dean Kremer. His underlying metrics suggest he's been a bit lucky, but when you've gone three straight starts without allowing a run then you've got some wiggle room for regression. Maybe the luck goes against him and he gives up a couple runs next time. What a disaster that would be!
Really though, he's been fantastic and gives Baltimore a clear edge over the visiting Rangers and Dane Dunning.
Texas has lost eight consecutive starts by Dunning as the righty has struggled mightily with command. He's walked 12 batters over his last four starts and the Orioles' lineup is trending up.
The Orioles have the better starting pitcher, lineup, defense, and bullpen. That's typically a lovely recipe for a victory. Throw in that they're at home and I love Baltimore to pick up the holiday win behind another strong outing from Kremer.
Pick: Orioles -104
