Toronto Raptors vs. Portland Trail Blazers Prediction and Pick
This is a brutal spot for the Blazers, traveling from Denver back home to Portland to play the next night. At any underdog price I'm playing Toronto, who have done well as an dog this season, 5-4 ATS and is 5-1 on the road.
Toronto, despite the 6-8 record, has a positive net rating on the year, +0.9 per NBA.com, and have the guards to check Damian Lillard, who has continued to struggle this season.
Lillard is averaging 20 points per game, down more than eight from last season, while shooting 38% from the field and 26% from 3. Toronto's versatile defense is going to give the Blazers star fits, this is not the night for him to going.
Things are getting dicey for Portland as they continue to play losing basketball behind Lillard's poor shooting numbers after a summer full of turmoil. I can't back them on a back-to-back against a team that has done well as a dog and presents matchup challenges for Lillard to have a breakout game.
I'm taking Toronto to win this one outright at a small + money price.
PICK: Raptors +105
