Raptors vs. Clippers Prediction and Odds (Toronto Tearing it up on the Road)
By Matt De Saro
The Toronto Raptors are ready to go home after playing five road games in a row heading into tonight. But, they will have to wait another day because the Raptors are on the road for their sixth straight game. The Los Angeles Clippers, meanwhile, are playing their first game after a three-game road trip in which they went 1-2 straight up.
These inter-conference rivals have met once before with the Raptors winning and covering as 6.5 point favorites. Both teams are currently playoff-bound but neither has clinched a spot in the postseason as of today. Here are the odds for this battle, courtesy of WynnBET:
Raptors vs. Clippers Odds, Spread, and Total
Spread:
- Raptors -2 (-110)
- Clippers +2 (-110)
Moneyline:
- Raptors -130
- Clippers +110
Total:
- 215.5 (Over -110/Under -110)
Raptors vs. Clippers Prediction and Pick
The Raptors are playing better basketball right now when compared with the Raptors and have won four in a row on the road. This impressive stretch is made even more noteworthy because of wins over the Suns, Nuggets, and Lakers during that stretch. The Lakers might be on a downturn but they are still a dangerous team. Meanwhile, the Nuggets and Suns are two of the best in the entire league. The Clippers, on the other hand, are 2-4 SU in their last six games and suffered losses to the Hawks and Knicks during that stretch. Additionally, they barely managed to beat the Wizards and Pistons as well. All of those teams, aside from the Hawks, are currently outside of the playoff bubble. The Hawks are clinging to ninth place in the East.
So the Raptors are being teams better than them and the Clippers are losing to teams worse than them. It doesn’t appear that the Raptors' extended road trip is having a negative effect and I expect them to keep rolling tonight.
Pick: Raptors -2 (-110)
