Ravens vs. Bears Updated Odds and Prediction: What Bettors Need to Know
By Matt De Saro
The Baltimore Ravens have really fallen apart over the last couple of weeks. They got straight-up embarrassed by the Dolphins 22-10 in Week 10 and by the Bengals two weeks before that 41-17. They managed a 34-31 win to the Vikings in between but those two losses speak volumes about how vulnerable this team is.
The Ravens remain 6-3 on the season and sit in first place in the AFC North but they need to stop losing games to bad teams.
Speaking of bad teams, the Ravens have another game against one this weekend on the road in Chicago versus the Bears. The Chicago Bears haven’t had to suffer through the ups and downs like Baltimore because it has been all down’s for them. They are 3-6 overall with all their wins coming earlier in the season. Since beating the Raiders in Week 5, the Bears have lost four in a row and are currently third in the NFC North.
The odds for this game have been on the move since the Ravens opened as 6-point favorites on the road against the Bears. After the odds broke, the spread quickly shortened to just 4.5 before settling at 5.0 where it is now. While the spread shortened by 1.5 at one point, the total hasn’t budged from its opening line of 45.5.

Ravens vs. Bears Prediction and Pick
The most likely explanation for this line movement has to be the news that Lamar Jackson didn’t practice today or yesterday due to illness. Whatever it is, it is non-COVID-19 related which means there is a chance that he recovers in time to suit up this weekend. Now having missed two straight days of pracitce, it is imperative he gets on the field tomorrow.
Earlier in the week, Betsided’s Thomas Snodgrass picked the Bears to cover this game at 6.5 and pointed out how poor the Ravens were at defending the pass. While I agree with that at 6.5, now that the spread is 5.0 I don’t feel as great about them. However, if their defense steps up, I do see this game slipping under the betting total of 45.5. Especially if Jackson isn’t at 100 percent.
Pick: Ravens & Bears UNDER 45.5 (-110)
