The Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees are set to finish their three game series in the Bronx tonight. The Red Sox took the first game against the Yankees on Friday, winning 4-0, but New York snapped its eight game losing streak against Boston on Saturday, taking them down by a final score of 3-1.

The two teams will face-off in a rubber match tonight, and WynnBET has the Yankees set as slight -125 home favorites with the Red Sox set as +104 underdogs. The total for the game is set at 9.5.

With Jameson Taillon taking the bump for the Yankees, it’s a great time to take advantage of the Red Sox as underdogs.

Taillon enters the game with a 4-4 record and a 4.90 ERA this season. He’s played against the Red Sox once already this season on June 5th, and he gave up six hits and three earned runs in 5.1 innings pitched. He has struggled at times this season, as he’s given up four or more earned runs in six different starts in 2021.

Things won’t get any easier for him today. He’s facing a Red Sox team that ranks 5th in runs per game at 5.04.

The Yankees continue to be overvalued, despite being nowhere near as successful as people expected they would be this season. After being the favorites to win the American League pennant on Opening Day, they’re now just 47-44 and are one of the least profitable teams from a betting standpoint in Major League Baseball.

New York ranks 15th in the Majors in run differential at -1, and a big reason for that is its complete lack of offense. The Yankees rank 23rd in runs per game at 4.10.

Martin Perez gets the start for the Red Sox, he enters the game with a 7-5 record and a 4.04 ERA.
