The Detroit Red Wings will play the fourth game of a four-game road trip, losing each of the first three games. The Red Wings defense has been non-existent on the road trip, allowing five goals in each contest and losing by at least two goals in every game.

One bright spot for Detroit has been rookie left wing Lucas Raymond. Raymond has four points in his last four games and has 18 points in his first 19 games.

The Arizona Coyotes have only accrued six points in the standings this season, dead-last in the entire NHL. A record of 2-13-2 will put a team in that lowly position.

The Coyotes took a shootout loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday, losing 5-4.

Detroit Red Wings vs. Arizona Coyotes Prediction and Pick

Arizona is 32nd in the NHL goals scored and 31st in goals allowed. That explains their disgusting position in the standings.

Piling on top of how terrible the Coyotes are, they will play tonight's game without center Nick Schmaltz (upper body injury), right wing Christian Fischer (upper body injury), goalie Carter Hutton (lower body injury), and left wing Andrew Ladd (Covid-19).

Detroit has a goal differential of -12, and while that doesn’t sound too great, Arizona’s goal differential is -37.

The Red Wings have a few strong offensive players, such as Raymond, left wing Tyler Bertuzzi, and center Dylan Larkin. I have faith in this Detroit offense to put up a big number tonight against an awful Coyotes squad.

Pick: Red Wings -1.5 (+175) | Over 5.5 (+100)
