The Detroit Red Wings enter Tuesday night after playing and losing their last two games on the road.

They continue away from home tonight against the San Jose Sharks at the SAP Center.

The Red Wings are average overall with a 16-16-4 record but have had major issues on the road. Away from home, Detroit is 4-11-2 including five losses in a row dating back to early December. Making matters worse for bettors, the Red Wings are 4-6 against the spread in their last 10 games.

While the Red Wings ATS numbers aren't great, they could be HOF-worthy when compared to the Sharks. While San Jose has a winning record at 19-16-1, they haven't covered a game since December 11th when they beat Dallas 2-1 as underdogs. Straight up, the Sharks have won four of their last six. San Jose comes off four straight road games and are happy to get back on their home ice.

Red Wings vs. Sharks Prediction and Pick

The Sharks seem like a strong pick here, especially with the Red Wings’ struggles on the road. However, they haven’t covered a game in a month and four of their last six games have been decided by just one goal. The other two games were outright losses as favorites. This could be the game to turn their ATS fortunes around, however.

The Red Wings are so ready to go back home after a brutal road trip that has seen them get beat up left and right. They have just four wins all season away from home, and if there was a good chance for the Sharks to score a big win, it is tonight.

While neither team is a powerhouse in any regard, the Sharks have the advantage on both sides of the puck. If only slightly. They are 21st in the NHL in scoring and 17th in shooting percentage. Another knock for the Red Wings here will be their decision to start Alex Nedeljkovic in goal. He is 10-9-3 with a 2.86 GAA and a SV percentage of ..915. He has allowed 14 goals overall in his last four starts and is becoming a liability between the pipers. Give me the Sharks to break their ATS losing streak at home tonight.

Pick: San Jose Sharks -1.5 (+170)
