Reds vs. Blue Jays Prediction and Odds for Saturday, May 21 (Bet UNDER With Value in Pitcher's Duel)
By Joe Summers
The Toronto Blue Jays host the Cincinnati Reds in the second game of a three-game series today at 3:07 PM EST.
We've got a fascinating pitching matchup as Alek Manoah goes to battle against Hunter Greene. Manoah has been one of the best pitchers in all of baseball this year, amassing a 1.71 ERA over seven starts and having not given up more than three runs a single time.
Greene, meanwhile, is coming off one of the most impressive performances in a loss you'll ever see. He did not allow a single hit in 7.1 innings but took a 1-0 loss anyway because the Reds offense decided to be absolutely terrible.
Can Greene continue his impressive run or will Manoah shut the Reds down in a victory?
Let's take a peak at the odds from WynnBET to help find a winner in this Reds vs Blue Jays matchup:

Reds vs Blue Jays Prediction and Pick
Pick any stat you want and Alek Manoah is among the best in the game. He's thrown a quality start in every outing except one and has as impressive a pitching profile from Baseball Savant as you'll find:
He'll face a stiff test against a Reds lineup that ranks ninth in OPS against right-handed pitchers this month. But I mean, this is the same Cincy squad that just lost a game in which Greene didn't allow a hit, so they can't be that dangerous.
Let's talk about Greene. He was about as bad as one could be in his first several starts, but he's turned things around in a big way recently. After allowing only two runs in 5.1 innings against Milwaukee, he threw that absolute gem against the Pirates. Greene throws as hard as anyone in the league and has 22 strikeouts in his last 15.1 innings.
Toronto's offense has been terrible, ranking 26th in OPS against righty's this month while striking out in over a quarter of their at-bats. Entering the series, the under had hit in five consecutive Blue Jays games thanks to their strong pitching and inept lineup.
I expect more of the same here as Greene continues to settle into his own. He struggles with command, as evidenced by his five walks against Pittsburgh, but the Blue Jays draw walks at one of the lowest rates in MLB so that weakness should be mitigated.
Give me the under in a fantastic pitching duel and don't be surprised if the Reds pull off the upset.
Pick: Under 8.0 (-105)
