Reds vs. Blue Jays Prediction and Odds for Sunday, May 22 (Bet the Over on Sunday)
By Reed Wallach
The Reds and Blue Jays conclude a weekend series against one another at the Rogers Centre.
The Blue Jays are chasing the Yankees atop the AL East through the first several weeks of the season and must take advantage of lowly foes like the Cincinnati Reds in order to make up some ground. Can they do it with the confounding Yusei Kikuchi on the mound?
Let's dive in and find the best bet with odds courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook:

Reds vs. Blue Jays Prediction and Pick
Kikuchi has been all over the place in his first year with the Blue Jays. He has a fine 3.38 ERA, but puts himself in harms way often by walking an MLB high 20 batters through seven starts.
While the Reds got off to a miserable start to the year, 3-21, I'm optimistic they can get to Kikuchi with their budding offense, 12th in on-base percentage since the start of May. While I'm not calling for an outright victory, I'm confident they can plate a few runs with their increased disciplined of late.
On the other side, we know about the talent in the Blue Jays lineup, but the team is slumping quite a bit. The team is outside the top 20 in OBP this month and in need of a jolt. They will face Connor Overton, who had a cup of coffee with the Jays last season but this is his first full season. I think this is a slump buster matchup for Toronto considering Overton has pitched against the Rockies, Guardians and twice against the Pirates. This is his stiffest test and I think that sub-2.00 ERA is due to balloon.
I like the over with questions marks abound on the mound.
