Reds vs. Diamondbacks Prediction and Odds for June 14 (We're riding the Reds)
By Josh Yourish
Cincinnati rallied back to take game one of its three game set with Arizona, 5-4. The Reds (22-39) are trying to battle their way out of the basement in the NL Central, and currently reside one game behind Chicago. Meanwhile, Arizona is attempting to separate themselves from the last place Rockies in the NL West.
These teams have already played five times in June and the Reds lead the season series 3-2.
Zach Davis will go for Arizona and he is opposed by Tyler Mahle for Cincinnati.

Reds vs. Diamondbacks Prediction and Pick
These two starting pitchers went head to head five days ago on June 9th. The Diamondbacks got the win, but Mahle was the better pitcher. They both went 6.0 innings, but Davis gave up three and Mahle gave up one. Mahle has been good in his last three starts only allowing four runs over 18.2 innings, but the Reds have lost all three of those games.
Mahle struck out ten Diamondbacks in his last outing and I expect him to have similar success Tuesday night. He has a whiff rate of 30.7% on his fastball and a strikeout percentage above league average. He is striking out 10.1 batters per nine innings and Arizona has struck out the third most of any team in baseball.
Arizona is 3-7 in their last ten with only a .216 batting average over that span, they have struggled to get hits and Cincinnati is hitting nearly .300 over that same stretch.
In an even pitching matchup, I lean towards the team with the hotter bats and that is the Reds. Mike Moustakas even rejoined the team last night and had the game winning RBI in the sixth. His addition should help the lineup even more.
Pick: Reds +103
