The #Packers and MVP QB Aaron Rodgers have agreed to terms on a 4-year, $200M deal that makes him the highest paid player in NFL history, sources say. He gets a whopping $153M guaranteed and his cap number goes down. A monstrous commitment by GB for years to come. ? ? ?

It's a no-brainer for the Packers, as they lock up the back-to-back MVP winner for likely the remainder of his career. It also lowered his cap number, which could help the team bring back key players like receiver Davante Adams this offseason.
Rodgers had been tied to trade rumors for weeks, but he ultimately doesn't end up going anywhere. The Packers' odds to win the Super Bowl were at +1500 at WynnBET Sportsbook prior to Rodgers agreeing to stay, and it is likely that those will skyrocket now that he is locked up long term.
The Denver Broncos, who were the top team in the hunt for Rodgers in a trade, will likely see their Super Bowl odds at +1500 drop unless they make another move at quarterback.
Rodgers threw for 37 scores and just four picks last season, leading the Packers to the No. 1 seed in the NFC. Green Bay was knocked out in the playoffs by the San Francisco 49ers, but it seems ready to run things back in 2022.
