The Los Angeles Clippers have gotten out to a slow start in the 2022-23 season, and will be without star Kawhi Leonard once again on Monday against the Houston Rockets.

The Clippers are just 2-4, and play the second leg of a back-to-back against Houston, who is in the same spot after losing to the Phoenix Suns on Sunday night.

The Rockets are 3-3-1 against the spread this season, but they weren’t able to handle a step up in class last night against Phoenix.

Does that change against the Clippers, who could sit some players, like John Wall, in this game?

Rockets vs. Clippers Prediction and Pick

Houston has struggled in the second night of back-to-backs with this young roster, going 4-9-1 against the spread dating back to the start of last season.

It’s hard for teams to turn in two strong games in a row, and the Rockets exhausted a lot of energy to eventually lose big in the fourth quarter to Phoenix.

This feels like a spot where the Clippers can get back on track, as Houston doesn’t defend anyone, ranking 26th in the NBA in defensive rating.

The Clippers are just 29th in offensive rating this season, but seventh in defense, so they could get back on track on offense against this Houston team.
