Rockets vs. Timberwolves Prediction and Odds for Saturday, November 5th (Back Houston on Saturday)
By Reed Wallach
It's been a slow start for the Minnesota Timberwolves after making the splash of the NBA offseason by trading a host of draft picks for Rudy Gobert.
The Karl-Anthony Towns-Rudy Gobert hasn't been that great to date, but will face one of the league's worst defenses in the Houston Rockets, can they get going on the second half of a back-to-back and get back to .500?
Here are the odds for Saturday's Western Conference mathchup:

The Timberwolves starting five has not gelled just yet, just look at these numbers courtesy of The Ringer's Raheem Palmer:
To make matters worse for the T'Wolves, Gobert entered Health & Safety Protocols on Saturday afternoon:
Maybe Minnesota can get back to last season's ways, but on the second half of a back-to-back I'm not so bullish on their chances.
The Rockets have their fair share of struggles with the league's worst effective field goal percentage, but I believe they can catch a dreary Timberwolves team sleeping and cover this big spread.
Despite having immense size in their go-to lineup, the Timberwolves are below the league average in rebounding rate and outside the top 20 in effective field goal percentage. Minnesota is 3-6 against the spread this season, still overvalued from their offseason transactions, so I'll take the 1-8 Rockets to hang around and cover the number.
