Rockies vs. Rangers Prediction and Odds for Monday, April 11 (Improved Offenses Gives Over Value)
By Joe Summers
After a pair of upset wins over the Dodgers, the 2-1 Colorado Rockies travel to Texas today to take on the 1-2 Rangers at 4:05 PM EST.
The Rockies' bats exploded against Julio Urias yesterday in a 9-4 win, and they'll hope to carry that offensive momentum into this matchup against Rangers starter Taylor Hearn.
Hearn had a 4.66 ERA last year primarily as a reliever but will try his hand as a starter this season. Colorado counters with lefty Austin Gomber, also a converted reliever. He had a 4.14 ERA in 2021 and really struggled at the end of the season.
Who will get off to a hot start in this second series of the season? Will the Rockies build off their series win over the Dodgers or will the Rangers get back to .500?
Let's check out the odds from WynnBET as we find value in this Rockies vs Rangers matchup:

Rockies vs Rangers Prediction and Pick
The new-look Rangers offense, led by Marcus Semien and Corey Seager, got off to a blazing start as they put up 23 runs in three games against the Blue Jays.
I think they'll find success against a Rockies team that was horrible on the road last season, going 26-54 away from Coors Field. Gomber had a 5.14 ERA over two starts in the spring and got lit up at the end of the year, so I don't have much confidence he can slow Texas down. He gave up at least four runs in four of his final six starts and I expect a short leash today.
But the Rockies' bats shouldn't have a problem with Hearn either. Hearn made the transition to starter with mixed results last season. He gave up 20 runs over his final 27 innings as a starter, and while he's had a full offseason to prepare for the role, I think he may struggle to go too deep in the game.
Both squads' bullpens are taxed after competitive series' against the Dodgers and Blue Jays. With improved offenses and two pitchers that can be beat, I love the over in today's matchup.
Pick: Over 9.5 (-120)
