Rockies vs. Tigers Prediction and Odds (Expect Kuhl to Continue Dealing on the Mound)
By Matt De Saro
The Colorado Rockies have been of the more pleasant surprises so far in 2022. Colorado currently sits in second place in the NL West behind the Dodgers with an 8-4 record. It will be hard for any team to keep pace with the Dodgers. Let alone overtake them for the NL West title. But, the Rockies are showing us early on that they might be the SF Giants of 2022. Winners of four of their last six, the Rockies have been crushing opposing pitchers and lead the MLB in batting average at .284.
The Tigers, meanwhile, are 5-7 and currently third in the AL Central. There is not too much bad or good to be said for this team right now. They have been slightly below average across the board.

Rockies vs. Tigers Prediction and Pick
One area that the Rockies need to improve on sooner rather than later is their pitching. Specifically, their ERA which sits at 3.96. It's in the bottom third of the league and will really hold them back if their offense continues to produce at a high level.
I don’t expect this to be an issue on Sunday however. That is because Chad Kuhl will get the start for Colorado here. Kuhl has been fantastic in two starts this year with an ERA of 0.87 and a WHIP of 0.87. He has nine strikeouts in 10 ⅓ innings and hasn’t given up a home run. Kuhl’s last game was a magical six inning shutout of a very powerful Phillies offense.
The Tigers might get blanked here too if they aren't careful.
Pick: Rockies ML
