Royals vs. Twins Prediction and Odds for Friday, May 27 (Two Strong Pitchers Gives UNDER Value)
By Joe Summers
After a 3-2 Kansas City win last night snapped a six-game losing streak, the 15-28 Royals hope for consecutive victories as they take on the 27-18 Twins tonight at 8:10 PM EST.
Brad Keller will start for the Royals hoping to regain his early-season form. He has a 4.15 ERA this month after compiling a 2.19 ERA in April, though he's displayed strong control and an ability to go deep into games.
Minnesota will counter with Bailey Ober, who spent some time on the Injured List but hasn't given up multiple runs in in any of his last four starts. In total, Ober has a 1-1- record and 2.55 ERA through five outings.
Can the Twins snap a two-game skid or will Kansas City pick up an early 2-0 lead in the series?

Royals vs Twins Prediction and Pick
The Twins' offense has stalled after a torrid stretch during May. They've scored just two runs in three straight but face a beatable pitcher in Keller today. He allowed four runs to the Twins in seven innings last week and has a 5.63 ERA over his last three starts.
Ober, meanwhile, has only surrendered three runs combined in his previous four outings. The massive 6'9", 260-lb righty does a tremendous job limiting walks and preventing hard contact, and he limited the Royals to only one run and three hits over five innings last week.
I've been a fan of Ober's for quite a while and I'm hopeful he can remain health to fully tap into his potential. Minnesota has won three of his last four outings, but I don't love their hefty odds against a quality starter like Keller, especially with a struggling lineup.
Believe it or not, Kansas City actually has a higher OPS against right-handed pitchers this month than the Twins. But with two pitchers I believe in squaring off, I favor the total instead of a side.
Dating back to last year, the under is 9-4 over Ober's last 13 starts. Additionally, it's 9-3-1 in the last 13 games at Target Field, including hitting in three straight.
I expect those trends to continue as Keller chews up quality innings and Ober continues his strong stretch of play.
Pick: Under 8.0 (+105)
