Royals vs. Twins Prediction and Odds for Saturday, May 28 (Singer's Stellar Stretch Continues)
By Joe Summers
The Minnesota Twins host the Kansas City Royals in the third game of a four-game series today at 2:10 PM EST.
Brady Singer hopes to continue his stellar stretch of play as he makes his third start of the year for Kansas City. In each of his first two starts, Singer threw seven scoreless innings and allowed only four hits.
One of those outings came against the Twins, who aim to rebound behind Chris Archer. Despite a solid 3.86 ERA, Archer is still seeking his first win of 2022 and hasn't lasted through the fifth inning once in eight starts.
Can Archer secure his first victory of the campaign or will Singer's transformation continue to give Kansas City a road win?
Let's take a look at the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook to help break this Royals vs Twins matchup down:

- Twins -1.5 (+135)

Royals vs Twins Prediction and Pick
Singer has been nothing short of sensational since returning to the Royals' rotation. The 2018 National Player of the Year in college, Singer's pro career hasn't produced the success he hoped for but things sure look to be headed in the right direction now.
His stuff looks filthy, and while Kansas City's bullpen choked away a six-run lead against Minnesota in Singer's last start, I like their chances to get retribution today.
Chris Archer has two big problems: stamina and command. He doesn't last long in games and that'll put pressure on a Twins bullpen that's been average. The Royals average the fifth-most walks on the road in the league, so that patient approach should pay dividends. And believe it or not, but their offense has been downright good lately.
In the last two weeks, Kansas City's lineup has the fifth-highest OPS against right-handed pitchers in MLB. Archer ranks in just the 26th percentile in expected ERA, and I expect the Royals improving lineup to find success.
The Royals have the better pitcher and defense, with an offense that's performing well. Put it altogether and we've got a lovely recipe for an afternoon underdog. If this Singer is here to stay, Kansas City may finally have the homegrown ace that's eluded them since the early Zack Greinke days.
Pick: Royals (+130)
