Royals vs. Twins Prediction and Odds for Tuesday, August 16 (Greinke's Road Woes Continue)
By Joe Summers
Zack Greinke of the Kansas City Royals seems like he'd relish the opportunity to work remotely from home. He's having a sensational season pitching at Kauffman Stadium, compiling a 1.98 ERA. However, he's a disaster on the road, with an 0-5 record and 7.16 ERA.
Maybe it's the commute, maybe it's the lack of home comfort, or maybe it's that he doesn't get his favorite neighborhood coffee. Whatever the reason, Greinke does not enjoy leaving home.
Unfortunately for him, he's pitching at Target Field against Sonny Gray and the Minnesota Twins this evening. Can he turn things around or will the Twins keep pace with Cleveland in the AL Central race?
Let's check out the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook to help find the value in this Royals vs Twins matchup:

Royals vs Twins Prediction and Pick
I've worked remote since the start of the pandemic, so I can't blame Zack Greinke for struggling so much away from home. I'd feel like an alien if I had to go sit at a cubicle in an office again.
That being said, it's a lot easier to work from home all the time when you just work on a laptop than when you play baseball for a living. As much as he despises office life, Greinke does indeed have to go pitch on the road.
The Royals are 1-4 in Greinke's last five road starts, with all five losses coming by multiple runs. As road underdogs, Kansas City is 2-9 in its last 11. So, the odds are certainly stacked against my hometown club today.
That's especially true when you consider how good Sonny Gray is pitching. The Dodgers roughed him up in his last start, but oh well. Los Angeles tends to do that to folks. Prior to that, Gray allowed just two runs combined in his last three starts.
I expect the Twins to rough Greinke up a bit, and thus see value on the Minnesota run line. However, Kansas City's lineup should find some success against Gray as well. It's just that I think the Twins will have a lot of success.
The over hit in each of Gray's last six starts and each of Greinke's last seven. Trust that trend to continue in a high-scoring Twins victory.
Pick: Twins -1.5 (+105) and Over 8.0 (-115)
