The Chicago White Sox offense continues to disappoint. They got blanked, 6-0, against the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday, but will have a chance to redeem themselves in the second game of a three-game series on Wednesday.

Unfortunately for the White Sox, things won't get much easier for them. They'll face Royals ac Zack Greinke, in today's game. He sports a 2.25 ERA so far this season, so Chicago has its work cut out. Meanwhile, Dylan Cease (3.38 ERA) will take the mound for the White Sox.

Let's take a look at the odds via WynnBET for today's AL Central showdown before giving out the pick.

Royals vs. White Sox Odds, Run Line, and Total

Run line:

  • Royals +1.5 (-135)
  • White Sox -1.5 (+112)

Moneyline:

  • Royals +175
  • White Sox -190

Total:

  • 7 (Over -115/Under -105)

Royals vs. White Sox Betting Trends

  • The UNDER is 8-2 in the Royals' last 10 games.
  • Royals are 5-1 in last six games vs. White Sox.
  • Royals are 1-5 in last six road games.
  • White Sox are 0-8 in their last eight games.
  • The UNDER is 12-2 in the last 14 meetings between these teams.

Royals vs. White Sox Prediction and Pick

As you noticed in the trends section, the UNDER is 12-2 in the last 14 meetings between these teams, and I see no reason not to ride that trend again tonight. Both teams are trotting out two of their better pitchers, Greinke and Cease, and neither teams' offense can get much going.

The Royals rank 23rd in batting average and 25th in OPS. The White Sox rank 25th and 28th in those two respective statistics. The White Sox are too talented to not figure out their offensive woes at some point this season, but I don't think a game against Greinke is the time to do it.

It's a low total, but the under is the play.

Lean: UNDER 7 (-105)
