Royals vs. Yankees Prediction and Odds for Saturday, July 30 (Greinke an Auto-Fade on Road)
By Joe Summers
Zack Greinke is one of my all-time favorite players, but even I know that when he's on the road, the opposing team is a slam-dunk bet.
That holds especially true when the opposition happens to be the best team in MLB, the New York Yankees.
Greinke has a 7.38 ERA away from home, losing each of his last four starts by multiple runs. Things won't get easier against the Yankees and Nestor Cortes, who has a 1.90 ERA at home.
Can Greinke pull off a miracle, or will the Bronx Bombers bomb away?

Royals vs Yankees Prediction and Pick
There are a number of factors working against the Royals today.
First, Greinke pitching on the road. He's 0-5 with a 7.38 ERA away from home, and has the misfortunate of taking on a Yankees squad that leads MLB in home runs and ranks fifth in OPS against right-handed pitchers this month. Heading into yesterday's slate, they'd won their last three as home favorites by a combined score of 28-3 (shoutout Tom Brady).
Second, Nestor Cortes is filthy. He's got a 2.38 ERA this month and a dazzling 1.90 ERA over eight home starts. The Royals are hitting left-handed pitchers well, but New York is still 10-3 over Cortes' last 13 outings.
Third, Kansas City is terrible as a road underdog. The club is 2-7 in its last nine in this spot, including four straight losses.
With the superior lineup and pitcher, I expect the Yankees to dominate. Give me New York on the run line to extend Greinke's misery on the road.
Pick: Yankees -1.5
