Russell Wilson OUT vs. Jets Due To Hamstring Injury
The Denver Broncos, who are coming off a loss to the Los Angeles Chargers and already have plenty of injury concerns, will be without Russell Wilson this week against the Jets, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
While Russell Wilson wanted to play despite a hamstring injury and did everything he could to play, the Broncos HC Nathaniel Hackett will hold back the 9-time Pro Bowl QB vs. the Jets to allow him to heal and prevent a lingering injury, per sources.

Denver will re-evaluate Russell Wilson’s hamstring injury this week and determine whether he can play next Sunday in London against the Jaguars.

Wilson is dealing with a hamstring injury, and was thought to be a game-time decision. Now that he’s been ruled out, it gives Brett Rypien a chance to prepare overnight to make his second career start.
His last start came in 2020, and was a rough outing from him. Rypein finished the game with 295 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions.
The Broncos were 2-point favorites, but that line is expected to move slightly. WIlson’s injury was known throughout the week and was likely taken into account by Vegas.

As for the Jets, this puts them in position to win their fourth straight game and move to 5-2 on the season. New York just beat Aaron Rodgers on the road, and even though it will be at Mile High, the Jets now have advantage at quarterback.
