Indiana has won two straight after a five-game skid and hope to make it three in a row when they host the 16-12 Rutgers Scarlet Knights tonight at 7:00 PM EST.

The 18-10 Hoosiers have been great at home, going 12-5 against the spread (ATS), but have failed to cover in two of their last three at Assembly Hall. Rutgers, meanwhile, has lost three straight after a four-game winning streak and need wins to solidify an NCAA Tournament appearance.

Will the Scarlet Knights cover the modest spread on the road to keep their tournament hopes alive or will Indiana bolster their own resume with a convincing home win?

Let's check out the odds, courtesy of WynnBET:

Rutgers vs Indiana Prediction and Pick

Both of these teams are excellent on the defensive end. Indiana ranks 13th in adjusted defensive efficiency and is in the 97th percentile nationally in block percentage. Rutgers is 47th in efficiency and in the 83rd percentile in block percentage and play at a snail's pace, making it difficult for opponents to get comfortable.

Much has been said about Rutgers' home-court success and road struggles, but they've actually covered in three of their last four road games. They've been money as an underdog, covering eight of their last nine and winning six of those games outright.

Indiana is no slouch as a favorite, either. They're 4-1 ATS over their last five and will look to control the game inside. The Scarlet Knights take 68.1% of their shots from inside the arc and the Hoosiers are in the 97th percentile at defending two-point shots, allowing opponents to only make 43.5% of those attempts.

Rutgers is in just the 12th percentile in three-point shots per game, but they'll need to generate open looks from deep to have a chance in this one. They're 278th in the country in free throw rate so they won't get points inside or at the line.

The Hoosiers should control the interior and are in the 78th percentile in field goal percentage in the paint while Rutgers is in the 54th percentile at defending the paint. Opponents make 53.5% of their shot attempts inside and I think Trayce Jackson-Davis has a dominant game.

Give me Indiana to cover the number at home and move to 13-5 ATS at Assembly Hall.

Pick: Indiana -4.5 (-110)
