Atlantic 10 conference action continues Tuesday with a clash between the Saint Joseph’s Hawks and the Saint Louis Billikens at the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis.

The Billikens have a pretty significant advantage at home where they are 12-4 overall and 10-5 against the spread and 1-0 as a home underdog. But, in an odd twist, the Hawks have a much better ATS record on the road (6-3) than they do on their own home court (6-8).

The Hawks are also on a 4-0 ATS win streak on the road. It will be interesting to see which team has the stronger advantage tonight. Here are the odds for this A-10 matchup, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Saint Joseph's vs. Saint Louis Odds, Spread, and Total

  • Saint Joseph's +11.5 (-110)
  • Saint Louis -11.5 (-110)

Total: 141 (Over -110/Under -110)

Saint Joseph's vs. Saint Louis Prediction and Pick

Despite the Hawks’ stealer road record against the spread, the Billikens have another advantage over their conference rivals tonight. Saint Louis has the 36th ranked offense in the nation while the Hawks have the 193rd.

That is a massive difference in skill level. It’s not as if the Hawks will make it up with a top 50 defense either. No no. The Hawk's defense actually ranks lower than their offense at 212th. One area that stands out, in particular, is the free throw shooting percentages between these two teams. A very important metric when looking to bet the spread.

A quick glance at the stats shows us that while the Billikens are the 24th best free-throw shooting team in the nation in terms of percentage, the Hawks rank 316th at 67 percent. The Billikens also rebound the ball well and rank 54th in defensive rebounds and 51st in offense boards.

Basically, all the little things you want a team to do, the Billikens do it better than the Hawks. And with a spread at a very reasonable 11.5  points, these little differences are more than enough to make a big play on the home team tonight.

Pick: Saint Louis -11.5 (-110)
