Two teams jockeying for position in the middle of the Atlantic 10 standings meet on Friday night when St. Louis travels to Richmond.

The Billikens scored a win at the beginning of January at home against the Spiders, 76-69, cashing the two point spread and going over the total of 143.5.

While Richmond has fallen short of expectations this season at 18-10 after being seen as an A-10 contender, they are going to look to make a statement ahead of the conference tournament in front of the home crowd, can they do it?

Here are the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook:

St. Louis vs. Richmond Odds, Spread and Total

Spread:

  • St. Louis: +3 (-110)
  • Richmond: -3 (-110)

Moneyline:

  • St. Louis: +127
  • Richmond: -145

Total: 142.5 (Over -110/Under -110)

St. Louis vs. Richmond Prediction and Pick

This matchup is intriguing, and while I lean towards St. Louis from a numbers perspective, I think we see a big effort from the Spiders in a desperate home spot. With that being said, my favorite look is towards the over.

One month ago when these two met, the total closed 143.5 and I'm not sure it should drop a point this time around. Both teams play relatively fast and protect the ball better than most in the conference so I expect both offenses to do what they want here. Since the beginning of February, both offenses are inside the top 75 nationally per barttorvik.com in adjusted offensive efficiency.

St. Louis is the best A-10 team in generating second chances but they also foul at a concerning clip, allowing the third highest free throw rate in the conference. If they find themselves in foul trouble, Richmond has the ability to get inside and get to the charity stripe where they shoot over 75%.

LEAN: OVER 142.5, play to 143.5
