The New Orleans Saints could be without quarterback Jameis Winston in Week 4 against the Minnesota Vikings. Winston missed Wednesday's practice as the team prepares for its game in London on Sunday.

New Orleans had Andy Dalton and Tayson Hill taking snaps at quarterback on Wednesday, a sign that they may be preparing to make a move at quarterback.

Since the news of Winston missing practice surfaced, the Vikings have moved from 2.5-point favorites to 3-point favorites for their Week 4 game. The Saints struggled mightily on offense the last two weeks with Winston playing banged up, so it may be advantageous for them to let him sit and heal up for the rest of the 2022 season.

Vikings vs. Saints Odds, Spread and Total

The Saints are just 1-2 in the 2022 season, and their only win was a close game against the lowly Atlanta Falcons. New Orleans is in danger of falling out of the playoff conversation in the NFC with another loss, especially to a Vikings team that is also looking to be in the wild card conversation.

So far this season, Winston has completed 63.5 percent of his passes for 858 yards, four touchdowns and a league-high five interceptions.

Dalton and Hill are both proven NFL plays that could back up Winston, so I don't expect this line to move much more if he is ruled out. However, this could be your last chance to get the Vikings at a field goal or less to cover and win in Week 4. If you're leaning that way, taking them before Winston's status is announced could be the move.
